- CytaGlobal supports participation of CYTA UK Ltd at the London Wine & Business Festival

CytaGlobal supported CYTA UK Ltd in organizing its participation at the London Wine & Business Festival. This annual event is organised by the UK Cypriot Community at Alexandra Palace, one of London’s leading exhibition and entertainment venues, promoting the Cyprus Wine Industry and providing an opportunity for more than 20,000 Cypriots to meet and celebrate, with lots of wine, food and music.
CYTA UK participates at the Wine & Business Festival, by promoting its cyta.talk and cytabusiness packages for residential and business customers, respectively. At the same time, CYTA UK fulfills its commitment in being part of the social life of the Greek-speaking Community in the UK. [view images]
- 35th OSS/ICDS Forum, hosted by CytaGlobal
8-10 May 2007, Ayia Napa, Cyprus
CytaGlobal successfully hosted, the 35th One Stop Shopping/ Inter Carrier Data Services (OSS/ICDS) Forum in Ayia Napa, Cyprus. The meeting was held between the 8 -10 May and was attended by 55 delegates, representing 34 International Telecom Operators.
The OSS/ICDS Forum aims to improve the provision of International Private Leased Circuits (IPLCs) and IP-MPLS Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) through standardized practices and procedures. The Forum promotes the application of One-Stop-Shopping, enabling the corporate customers to enjoy Single-Point-Ordering, Single-Point-Billing, Co-ordinated Provisioning and Single-Point-Fault-Reporting.
During the meeting common interest issues concerning IPLCs and VPNs have been discussed, presentations were given and ideas and experiences exchanged. Most importantly, the meeting provided the opportunity for networking amongst delegates. The meeting’s agenda was complemented by various social events organized by CytaGlobal. [view images]

- CytaGlobal supports the launch of CYTA UK Ltd in the UK market
London, December 2005
CytaGlobal supported CYTA’s wholly-owned subsidiary, CYTA UK Ltd in organizing its Launch Ceremony in the UK. A special Press Conference and Launch Ceremony was held on Sunday 4th December 2005 at Cafe Royal , London, to mark and celebrate the official announcement of CYTA UK to start operations in the retail UK telecommunications market.
In a festive atmosphere, with songs by Deborah Meyers, Manolis Lidakis and Diastasis Group , CYTA UK presented cyta.talk a new product portfolio offering versatile, competitive packages for fixed national and international telephony as well as internet access. The cyta.talk packages are customized to cater especially for the individual needs of the Cypriot/Greek Community, and constitute a landmark for the development of a lasting relationship, between CYTA UK and its customers in the UK.
Addressing the Launch Event, CYTA’s Chairman Mr Stavros Kremmos noted that, CYTA has taken the decision to start operations in countries with large Cypriot communities, in line with its corporate strategy and social responsibility to serve the Cypriot people, wherever they might be. Following CYTA’s strategy, CYTA UK will continue to provide high-quality total solutions in electronic communications at competitive prices, for the benefit of the customer.
Present at the Press Conference and Launch Event were the High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus in Great Britain, Mr Petros Eftychiou, Archbishop Gregorios of Thyateira and Great Britain, the Chairman of the National Cyprus Federation of Great Britain, Mr Haris Sofoclides, t he Chairman and Members of the Board and Senior Officers from CYTA, the Chairman and Members of the Board of CYTA UK, as well as press & media representatives.

- BSFOCS Meeting
19-21 April 2005, Sofia, Bulgaria
Between 19-21 of April 2005, Sofia hosted the Black Sea Fibre Optic Cable System's meeting. The meeting was attended by the cable major co-owners: BTC/Bulgaria, ROSTELECOM/Russia, OTE/Greece, UKRTELECOM/Ukraine and CytaGlobal/Cyprus. CytaGlobal was represented by Andreas Xenophontos and Loizos Economides.
During the meeting, the cable committees presented their work, and restoration matters as well as ways to reduce the cable's operation and maintenance costs were discussed. [view images]
- Business Britain presents to CytaGlobal the award of "Global Communications Solution of the year"

We are proud to announce that Business Britain Magazine has presented to CytaGlobal the award of "Global Telecommunications Solution of the Year".
In the past year, Business Britain ran a number of major features focusing on Global Telecommunications, one of which was dedicated to CytaGlobal. Once a year Business Britain's Directors, Editorial and Management teams attend a meeting to discuss their annual awards. Extensive research on organisations carried out by a team of investigative journalists as well as feedback from their readers, drew up points to facilitate the decision making. The basic criteria for the Magazine's choice was CytaGlobal's range of services, its strategies and partnerships, its marketing and promotional activities, its web presence etc. The result of the meeting was the unanimous decision to present CytaGlobal with the "Global Telecommunications Solution of the Year" award.
This prestigious award strengthens CYTA's efforts to promote itself and Cyprus in general, as an important telecommunications hub in the Eastern Mediterranean and the telecommunications bridge between East and West.
The award presentation ceremony took place at CYTA's Headquarters in the presence of the Chairman and members of the Board of CYTA. The ceremony was also attended by CYTA's General Management , by Managers of CYTA's Departments, by the Manager and staff of CytaGlobal, by the Assistant Manager and staff of Public Relations and by CYTA's Press Representative. of Dalaras’s
concerts in Moscow, November 2000
CytaGlobal sponsored two
concerts held by the famous Greek singer Yiorgos Dalaras, in Russia.
The concerts were held in November 2000, for celebrating the completion
of 40 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between
Cyprus and Russia. Both Dalaras’s concerts were held in Moscow.
The first concert was held at the Tchaikovsky theatre, where Dalaras
was accompanied by the Ossipov Orchestra, an orchestra consisting
of traditional musical instruments. The second concert was held
at the Kremlin, where Dalaras was accompanied by the Presidential
Orchestra
of Russia.
CYTA was represented at both events by its General Manager, Nikos
Timotheou, by CytaGlobal’s Manager, Constantinos A. Michaelides,
by Yiannis Koulias and Iordanis Pallikaras of CytaGlobal and Nikos
Nikolaou of CYTA’s Business Management Support Department. [view

CytaGlobal participated in SubÏptic 2004 which was hosted by ALCATEL in Monaco, between March the 29th and April the 1st 2004. CytaGlobal was represented in the event by Mr Constantinos A. Michaelides – Manager and Mr Yiannis Koulias –Assistant Manager. [view images]
SubÏptic is devoted to information exchange and the discussion of global submarine telecommunication issues.
SubOptic 2004 examined the commercial, environmental and technical aspects of submarine optical fibre systems as an essential link in seamless global network.
